Phase 1 - No computer modifications necessary. Most efficient from idle to 3000 rpm. Stock heads in good condition. Stock compression. Stock carb or FI. Smooth idle.
Phase 2 - Best power band from 1500 to 4000 rpm. Excellent low to mid-range torque from 1500 to 3500 rpm. No computer or component modifications necessary. Stock or slightly modified cylinder heads. Stock compression, stock carb or FI. Smooth idle.
Phase 3 - Excellent mid-range throttle response from 2000 to 4800 rpm. Excellent mid to top end torque from 2500 to 4000 rpm. May require computer modifications. Heads require good 3-angle valve job. Increased compression not to exceed 10.5:1. Rejetting or increased cfm in carb required. Fair idle with slight lope. May require vacuum reserve tank.
